Three Steps to Receiving Expert Tax Preparation Services:
1. Complimentary Initial Consultation
Schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your tax situation, filing needs, and the services most appropriate for your circumstances.
2. Secure Client Setup & Document Submission
Once the secure portal signup form is completed, a SecureFilePro account will be created for the secure submission of tax documents and related financial information.
3. Tax Return Preparation & Client Review
After all requested information has been received, we will prepare the tax return and notify you once the return is available for review and approval prior to filing.

Four Steps to Establishing a Bookkeeping Working Relationship:
1. Package Selection & Initial Review
Complete the bookkeeping package inquiry form to help us better understand your business structure, operational needs, and desired level of support. Once your submission and initial payment are received, we will schedule an initial discussion to review the selected package and determine whether any adjustments or customization may be appropriate based on business activity and complexity.
2. Engagement & Service Confirmation
Once the appropriate bookkeeping package has been finalized, we will provide an engagement letter outlining the scope of services and terms of the engagement. Bookkeeping engagements are not long-term contracts and may be modified or canceled in accordance with the engagement terms.
3. Cloud-Based Accounting Setup
We will work with you to establish or review your cloud-based bookkeeping system using QuickBooks Online and the financial information provided. This process is designed to help create an organized and efficient bookkeeping workflow tailored to your business operations.
4. Ongoing Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting
Based on the selected package, we will maintain and review your bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Online. Transactions may be integrated through secure bank connections, and clients may upload supporting documentation and receipts through the designated system. Clients will receive financial reports designed to provide greater visibility into the financial performance and overall financial position of the business.
Three Steps to Establishing an Advisory & Consulting Relationship
1. Initial Consultation & Needs Assessment
We begin by discussing the client’s operational, financial, tax, or organizational concerns to better understand their goals, questions, and the level of support needed.
2. Strategic Discussion & Service Evaluation
Depending on the nature of the consultation, clients may receive general guidance, strategic insight, answers to specific questions, or recommendations regarding potential next steps and service options.
3. Tailored Engagement Support, If Applicable
Certain advisory and consulting matters may require ongoing support, additional analysis, or a separate engagement based on the complexity and scope of services requested. Because advisory services vary by client need, each engagement is structured accordingly.
Four Steps to Establishing Audit & Assurance Services
1. Proposal Request & Initial Evaluation
Organizations may submit a request for proposal (RFP) to contactus@hillardcpa.com or contact our office directly to discuss audit, review, compilation, or other assurance service needs. During this stage, we evaluate the requested services, organizational structure, reporting requirements, and engagement timeline considerations.
2. Proposal Review & Service Discussion
Based on the information provided, we will prepare and submit a proposal outlining the proposed scope of services, anticipated engagement structure, and related pricing considerations.
3. Engagement Acceptance & Planning
Once the proposal terms are accepted, an engagement letter will be provided outlining the scope of services, responsibilities, and engagement terms. Initial planning discussions and information requests may also begin during this phase.
4. Information Gathering & Engagement Procedures
Following engagement acceptance, requested financial records and supporting documentation will be securely exchanged through our client portal. Engagement procedures will then be performed in accordance with the level of assurance services being provided.
